Bali has many destinations without any entrance fee required that you can visit. Take your loved one and enjoy the fun together during your holiday in Bali. Here are few free things to do in Bali:
Pura Lempuyang is a great place for making new memories with your loved one in East Bali. It is one of Bali’s oldest and physically tallest temple in Bali. To get there, it would be a long drive, around 2.5 hours from southern part of Bali, but nevertheless you will get to enjoy scenic view on your way there. To enter this temple, you need to wear long pants or sarong to cover your legs. The local people rent out sarongs for IDR 10.000 for those who do not have any sarongs or long pants with them but you can also bring your own sarong. The entrance fee will constitute as donation.
The famous part of Lempuyang Temple is Gateway to Heaven. It is a quite famous place to take a picture with fluffy white clouds as a backdrop. This temple is located far away from everything so it remains as a relatively quiet Hindu temple. If you want to go to the main temple,you will need to hike around 3-4 hours to 1.175m above sea level, up on the peak of the namesake Mount Lempuyang in East Bali. It is a long trek but it is definitely worth it.
Marigold is a flower field along the roadside between Bedugul and Kintamani which is very easy to find. Marigold is type of flower commonly used for daily offerings in Bali. You can see marigold in beautiful handmade offerings everywhere. Marigold fields itself is definitely a great place for taking picture with your loved ones.
On the way back from Pura Lempuyang, there is a lotus lagoon located in Candidasa, East Bali. Lotus lagoon offers beautiful panorama pink and fuchsia lotuses. It is a nice place for taking pictures, free of charge and open to public, which you can easily access from the roadside. You will get a better perspective of the whole lagoon, including a glimpse of the sea and the small offshore rock formations iconic to the Candidasa seascape.

If you are planning to go to to Ubud, Campuhan Ridge Walk is one of the best attractions in Ubud and free to access. It is a nice place especially if you like hiking because of its quiet and natural surroundings. The location is away from the bustling center of Ubud and you can simply walk and enjoy the fresh air surrounded by aromatic and tall grasses in the beautiful Ubud’s tropical jungle. The best time to walk or hike is early in the morning or during evening sunset.

Ubud is surrounded by beautiful green rice fields. Another way to enjoy Ubud is by taking a walk along Tegalalang rice fields. It is one of famous destinations in Bali where you can do short trekking on a stunning view. It is a free access and you can enjoy a cup of coffee or having lunch by the view. There are some restaurants with Tegalalang’s rice field views and souvenirs places around this area.
