Bali has many destinations to explore, but if you want to go someplace further than Kuta or Seminyak, our recommendation is for you to take one day trip to Nusa Penida. Nusa Penida is a hidden paradise in Klungkung, East Bali. Take your loved ones to this trip because Nusa Penida has many beautiful hidden places to explore.
First you must wake up early so you can enjoy the sunrise breakfast at the Berry Amour lounge before heading to Sanur. Afterwards, you will need to head to Sanur and buy the earliest schedule fast boat ticket to Nusa Penida that will depart around 8AM or 9AM. You can find many fast boats to ride and our recommendations are Maruti Express, Mola-Mola Express, Caspla, dan many more. Don’t forget to buy the return ticket that will be scheduled at around 3PM.
It will take around 45 minutes trip to Nusa Penida using fast boat. At the harbor you can rent a bike and find local guide to explore Nusa Penida. So here we are our best hidden places you need to go during your one day trip to Nusa Penida.
Pasih Uug is also known as Broken Beach among foreign tourists. Pasih means damaged. You will find and see the tall and hollow cliffs in the center, surrounded by green grass, the blue sea with calm waves that will fascinate anyone who come. Entrance fee is IDR 5.000/motorbike.
Please note that journey to Pasih Uug is very steep, so you need to be extra careful and if you’re not super comfortable riding a scooter it is better if you go with a guide.
Angels Billabong is located on the same location with Pasih Uug or Broken Beach. You just need to take few meters walk to find Angels Billabong from Pasih Uug. Angel’s Billabong is actually the last estuary of a river in Nusa Penida and ends in high sea.
Angels Billabong has several natural swimming pools with clear water, yellow-green rocks that make this place looks more beautiful. Anyone would be tempted to swim here, but for the sake of safety it could be better if you don’t because it is quite dangerous during tidal wave.
From Pasih Uug and Angels Billabong, you can move to Kelingking Secret Point only 30 minutes away. Why is it called Secret Point? Because the location of Kelingking is hidden behind the cliffs of Nusa Penida. On the cliff, you will see an exotic beach with white sand below , of course surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
They will charge IDR 5.000 / motorbike for entrance fee. After you arrive in the parking lot, you do not need more effort to see Kelingking from the top of the cliff. If you want to have a closer look to Kelingking, you can access the beach but be careful because the stairs is quite steep and there is only a small path.
It is a one of favorite beach in Nusa Penida for snorkeling or diving. Located about 50 meters from the beach, beautifully laid a small coral island named Batu Jineng Temple. The uniqueness of Batu Jineng Temple is that there is a passage that divides the stone and resembles a door.
